These answers restate the disclosures already published on this site. They are for general information. Read the full disclosures.

What is Bunker Longevity building?

Bunker Longevity starts with SOLO-1 Organ Cradle: machine perfusion for donor organs, built as one platform. SOLO-1 is being developed to preserve kidneys, livers, hearts and lungs between donor and recipient. It builds on hypothermic and normothermic perfusion methods tested in randomized clinical trials. The organ cradle is designed to preserve donor organs outside the body for transplantation. Status: preclinical development, and not approved for clinical use.

Is SOLO-1 FDA approved or available?

No. SOLO-1 is an investigational device in early development. It has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulatory authority. It is not available for sale and is not in use with patients or donor organs.

Which organs is SOLO-1 designed for?

Kidneys, livers, hearts and lungs. Generation 1 is hypothermic and hypothermic oxygenated perfusion for a single kidney or liver, in a sterile single-use cassette. Generation 2 adds normothermic perfusion and viability measurements, heart and lung cassettes, and up to four independent circuits.

What is the longer-term roadmap?

The roadmap moves from a single-organ cradle to a multi-organ cradle, then to long-term research goals. Whole-body preservation is a research direction, not a product commitment. It depends on advances in cryopreservation that have not been demonstrated in human organs, let alone a whole body, and may not be achieved. Timelines, capabilities and plans on this site are estimates. They are subject to research outcomes, clinical results, regulatory review and funding, and may change or not occur.

Is this cryonics, and can you revive people?

No. Bunker Longevity makes no cryonics claim and no claim that a person can be revived. Later stages on this roadmap, including whole-body preservation, are long-term research goals only. There is no timeline and no claim of revival. No current technology has been shown to preserve a whole human body and later restore it to life, and these stages depend on scientific advances that have not been demonstrated and may not be achieved.
